Geofill LD Pervious
Pervious low density cellular concrete is the one of the newest and most exciting innovations in the construction industry. This product is ideal for applications that require load reduction, strength and high permeability. With a drain rate tested at 230 feet per hour, this permeable, open-celled, low density concrete will not disturb or redirect natural water flow. Densities range from 20 to 30 pounds per cubic foot.
Benefits of Geofill LD Pervious:
Low Density
Geofill LD Pervious can be used to reduce vertical loads. It is often placed over weak soils or underground structures. It is also used to replace existing soils prior to construction of new buildings or structures to reduce potential settlement caused by added weight. It is also frequently used to reduce lateral loads against retaining walls and MSE panels while allowing excellent drainage.
Highly Flowable
Geofill LD Pervious is self leveling and will fill hard to reach areas. No compaction is needed. Eliminates problems related to future settlement. An excellent material for open cut backfill.
High Bearing Capacity
Geofill LD Pervious, a free draining, and lightweight material that is stronger than compacted fills or soils. This product is frequently used on highway project applications including embankments and adjacent to retaining walls.
Excavatable
Easier to re-excavate that many CLSM materials, yet stronger than 3 ton clays or compacted fills. Often used to backfill open cut trenches when weight, strength, & permeability are required.
Pumpable
LD Pervious can be pumped long distances at low pressures.
