Foundation settlement problems can be permanently solved with the patented and tested ATLAS PIER® system. An ATLAS Pier is an assembly of structural steel components which includes a pier head mounted on a steel pier that is installed to firm bearing strata. ATLAS piers not only stop settlement, but also raise the structure, closing cracks and correcting other structural flaws caused by settlement and/or ground deformation. Atlas piers are available in a variety of configurations to meet your application & load requirements.

CHANCE® Helical Tieback Anchors are used to stabilize and anchor retaining or
basement walls damaged by lateral loads from earth and water pressure. Each helical tieback develops anchoring
resistance capacity through the development of “passive” earth pressure against its helical plates. This product is also commonly used in the design of new retaining walls up to 35’ high.
Customized drilled and grouted support systems are also available.

Structural Underpinning – Resistance Piers |
|
Improperly compacted fill materials caused approximately two inches of differential settlement in this recently constructed stairwell addition. The Atlas Resistance Pier was selected as the repair product of choice due to its ability to stabilize and lift/restore the sinking structure back to its original elevation.
Eleven 4” grout filled Atlas Piers with a capacity of 110 kips were installed to a depth of 63’. The structure was then lifted and restored to its proper elevation.
