Pressure grouting is used for a wide variety of civil and geotechnical applications including ground improvement, control of ground water, mine void filling and environmental containment. Our services include permeation, compaction, cement and chemical grouting.
A slurry grout was used on the tunnel project depicted on this page to fill voids between the soil/rock mass and the existing tunnel structure. Due to traffic control considerations, all work was performed during evening and weekend hours. MixOnSite offers turnkey installation services including material selection, state of the art batching/pumping equipment and experienced crews.

The slabjack method consists of drilling holes and injecting high density water blown polyurethane to lift, realign and stabilize settled pavements and slabs. As the material expands, the voids are filled and a controlled pressure is exerted to lift the affected area. The lightweight characteristics of the material add little additional weight to the already distressed sub-base or weak underlying soils. Rapid curing allows raised slabs to be ready for traffic almost immediately.
Undersealing is a similar repair method that can be used to address slab stability issues caused by “pumping” of fines on jointed pavements and slab curl in warehouses. Restoring sub grade support is the key.

Slab Curl Problems Solved |
|
This new distribution warehouse was plagued by severe deterioration and ride-ability problems caused by slab curl shortly after construction. This loss of sub grade support at construction and control joints caused differential slab movement as forklifts passed over the area.
Sub grade support was restored by pumping a cement and fly ash grout in under low pressure to fill the voids and stabilize the slab. Surface repairs included grinding the surface to improve ride-ability, partial depth removal/replacement of the distressed concrete, and installation of new joint sealant.
