This project site was adjacent to an existing bridge abutment located along the west bound lanes of I-88. A solider pile and lagging wall with one row of helical tiebacks was designed to retain an excavation with a maximum depth of approximately 27’. Eight tieback anchors were installed at a 20 degree incline from horizontal using an installation torque of 8,000 ft.-lbs.
