Earth Retention

A wide variety of soil retention options are available based on site layout, construction schedule, soil conditions and cost. The helical tieback and soil nail offers a cost effective solution on projects that contain soils which have some cohesion and blow counts under 30. The helical is also advantageous on temporary applications, as they can be removed or unscrewed with minimal effort. The grouted tieback anchors are great for permanent applications and challenging site conditions that contain stiff, tough soils and rock. Applications for both the helical, soil nail and grouted tiebacks include, but not limited to, H-piles and timber lagging, shotcrete systems, sheet piling and concrete retaining walls.

Grouted Anchors

Grout bonded soil and rock anchors offer an economical solution to temporary or permanent stability or support problems. They consist of a threaded bar, grouted in an oversized drill hole. Designed to withstand lateral and uplift forces, these structural members are typically used as part of a deep excavation support system, permanent retaining wall, or to resist wind-produced uplift forces. Hollow bar systems are available for granular soil conditions that would not allow open hole drilling.
